Also, Chess is a game of skill much like all gameplay only video games. So it is pretty mindless if you think about it.-mtjormitch

Looks awful.

I'm don't know why indies get a free pass to use completely awful graphics.

I don't want to play a game that looks like it was made for DOS.

The time has come and gone for new games to be looking like that.

That does sound pretty fun. I like the Oregon Trail esque way of starting the game. Changing the environment and causing wars also sounds fun.

Gameplay matters but this also isn't 1990.

I don't mind bad graphics, but I want them bad because it's an indie game with a low budget, not bad because it was purposely designed to be bad.

Apparently you guys don't seem to be interested, but man, this game sounds really cool/good. A good game is a good game, regardless of how it looks. The art here looks colourful and the sprite work is nice.

I played games from the DOS era. That doesn't mean it's ok to make DOS graphics games today.

It looks uglier than sin and if the developer wants my money, then he'll have to put decent looking visuals in.
