what people have to realize about gaming pc vs ps4

good question to ask:

-Can I get any console that is as capable as a PC?

It's a great question, especially since even a Pentium 4 based machine pulled from the trash has more features (i.e. uses) than the latest and greatest consoles.

the best on pc battlefield 4 looks amazing as a ps4 launch title

And yet everything we have seen in terms of screen shots and videos comparing the two has the PC version being the much superior version. How does that fit into your little rant when games are supposed to look better on the PS4 because developers can design specifically for the hardware.

You know, I always love the word "peasant" and how these insecure man children uses them, apparently we are peasant because we can afford a $50-$60 game on first release and can afford $400 PS4 as well as controllers and accessories while PC gamers are up in joy about buying a game for $2.50 or $4.99 games and refuse to pay a full price game. It's ironic but funny.

Spoken truly like a peasant that spends his money foolishly.

A fool and his money are easily parted after all.

Spoken truly like a dead beat who makes his mommy and daddy spend their money spoiling a dead beat who doesn't want to look for a job or go to work for that matter.

It's called having a good job, something you might want to look into instead of wasting majority of your time trolling on the PS4 board.

I have a job. I've been setting aside a bit of each paycheck for the Winter. Why? To build a new high end PC. I'll have better specs than a PS4 AND a system that actually has games, which the PS4 severely lacks at launch.

Because everyone knows the consoles have always been "maxed" by release games...

It will take time for the devs to make their engines optimal for the PS4. Besides, the biggest "optimization" on consoles come from being able to use all the GPU's features, and by having a much lower CPU overhead

Well to be fair anyone with a brain could have guessed that. But we are talking about a crowd of people that aren't technically inclined and believe every piece of PR trash they're fed from paid off Devs to promote new hardware.

When I got my PS1, I already have voodoo card.
When I got my PS2, I have Ge-force 2.
When I got my Xbox 360 and this stupid Wii, I have 8800gt.

Every time a new console is coming out, people will tell you it has better graphics than a gaming PC. they are all blind and stupid. I am a multi-platform gaming I have never seen a console overtake a gaming PC, EVER!

I have seen a pc doing a ridiculous 4k res at playable frame-rate, and my soon to arrive ps4 are at 1080 and probably 30 fps again.

Multi-platform gamer always loose at this forum, but always win with games.

Sorry, no this is not the case.

The only reason this has the slightest chance in hell of happening is because most developers see the PC as an afterthought and we end up getting s***y ports.

If developers actually treated PC as equal this scenario has a snowballs chance in hell of happening. If we didn't actually have to deal with s***y ports and got a build of our own the consoles wouldn't be able to come close to PC.

Crysis was brought up as an example. People said but that was PC exclusive. That's the point. Consoles couldn't run it. If we had more developers care about PC we wouldn't have to deal with their s***y ports, and low graphics as a result of not caring to develop for PC.

It has nothing to do with the hardware in next gen consoles and everything to do with developer apathy to PC gamers.

All the PC has going for it is tons of horsepower and its ability to get even more horsepower, and while that's a biggie indeed, there are areas the consoles have advantages in because they don't go through so thick API layers

You can throw more and more power into a PC, but they'll be limited by the limitations of the current DirectX and OpenGL. And that's, right now, a huge CPU overhead and exposing features that came to market back in 2009

The main reason the consoles didn't run the PC version of Crysis is because of the RAM. The 360 had a great GPU for its time, but the RAM was on par with low-end PCs

Granted, haven't read the entire thread, but in this comment, are you ignoring the advantages of the best backward compatibility, largest number of control options, emulation, ease of modding, accessibility to third-party developers, and whatever other advantages there are too? Or am I taking that comment out of context?
