GTX 770 for $329? Nvidia price drops make me happy.

I'm not too sure I want to get an AMD card in my next rig. With the GTX 770 dropping to $329 and the GTX 780 at $499, I've gotta thank AMD, though. Always nice to see the price drops once the competition releases a new lineup.

Three games I don't already own included in the deal make me happier.

Competition is always a beautiful thing. I hope AMD continues to step it up so i can get my hands on cheaper nvidia cards.

That 780 at $500 is tantalizing.

I was worried my 770 2gb would not perform as well as I expected when I saw BF4 was recommending 3gb vram. Seems that fear was not founded, game runs great on Ultra at 1920x1200. This is an awesome price for this card!

I think the "recommended" requirements are for people that have those high as hell resolutions, not 1080p. Kinda like the ridiculous requirements for CoD Ghosts...they don't tell you that's if you want to play it in 4k.

My guess is a new i5 or FX with a good 2GB card will run it smoothly at 1080p.

Which is what I've been saying for many months now. I can't fathom why people think all of a sudden every game is going to require so much VRAM just because new consoles are launching. Any high-end GPU running at 1080p will do just fine with 2 GB's of vram. I have 60 FPS on BF4 on Ultra with my GTX 680's and i5-2500k.

Because Xbox One has the magical cloud and PS4 has 8GB of GDDR5 RAM.

BLAST PROCESSING!!!!!!

Though I'm sad because I don't have a newer i5 or FX. I haz an older Phenom II X4. But think my 7850 2GB card will probably work fine. In the beta I was getting like 40-ish FPS no matter what resolution and graphical settings...so that means it's my CPU that's bottlenecking. But then that means I have to get a new motherboard and OS too :(

Maybe because BF4 actually can use more than 2GB of VRAM at 1080p. . .
