This is why you make a backup of Windows the moment it's installed, updated and you have all essential drivers installed.

It would be nice if Microsoft released an SP2 for Windows 7 containing all the updates released so far, but that's not looking likely, and then a year later we'd be back at square one anyway.

You could slipstream the updates to an iso. I tried it once and it didn't work for some reason...
