Has anyone tried Epic Browser?

#1Incendia_IntusPosted 10/31/2013 5:51:58 AM
I've been using it as of this morning, and it's pretty awesome. I think I may begin using it as my main web browser.

It's built on Chromium.
It has a built in one-click proxy.
It, by default, blocks ads and trackers of various types.
It automatically routes all search engine searches through a proxy
It blocks websites from tracking you..
And many other things.

http://epicbrowser.com/

Just thought I would share and wanted to see if anyone already uses it.

I'm checking it out. I'm just so addicted to Google Chrome, though. Even though this is like the same thing, just more private it seems? I like it so far, but I'm not so sure if it will be my main browser.

I dunno

While I may not agree with your opinion, I will defend to the death your right to have it.

Basically, yeah. I've noticed it's slightly faster for me as well, though. I assume it's because it blocks nearly everything.

It doesn't allow for NoScript so I'm not touching it. Otherwise, it looks nice.

I'm slowly switching to Chrome.
I like the speed but I absolutely hate the interface.

Sounds like the antithesis of Google. I may check this out. Thanks OP.

Ah, yeah, I forgot to mention it doesn't allow third-party extensions in the OP. I never did really use anything apart from adblock though, so it's a nice step up for me.
