When I read the word "mobo" it drives me crazy.

Actually, I might as well add an odd one.

Working several years in retail, you hear just about everything, and can decipher what someone says when they have no idea what they're talking about. It's when they know a little that it's a problem.

"I need a union so I can get a longer earthnet for my DSL."

Freakin' blew my mind. It should have read this:

"I need a coupler so I can extend my ethernet cable."

Ohhhhh! You mean Ethernet.

"Yeah, I call it Earthnet."

Well that's not what it's called, jackass. That's not even close to correct. Wasted ten minutes of my time because you couldn't use correct terminology that's written right on the damn package.

This is kind of how I operate, though I have said it to myself before. I don't think that matters.

It bothers me that people get bothered over such petty and inconsequential things as this.

But then again it doesn't bother me because who gives a f***?

I don't know about you guys, but I called applications "apps" before Apple "came up" with the word.
As for mobo, I can't say that it annoys me, but I don't use it.

Well, next time you get a mobo, try not to think of it as a mobo. Instead, think of the mobo as a device to connect the stuff in there together, sort of like what a mobo is but not actually a mobo, since you get angry hearing about the word mobo.

Dr Suess is pronounced Zoice.

Think anyone uses that?

What... in German maybe?

Yeah, I just looked it up and you're right, but it also says that he gave up and used the Anglicized pronunciation because it sounded Goose (as in Mother Goose).

I think the whole Jif/Gif thing is silly anyway.
