Anybody else think maybe the next gen consoles should of waited another 2 years to release so we can get 95%+ of games at 1080p and 60fps at the same price?

At this point there is not much reason to even get next gen consoles with no proper backwards compatibility and all these under 1080p games...

It would just be the same. You can always do more if you turn down the resolution and framerate

They still wouldn't do 1080p 60FPS because O look consul guise the gaem looks fine at 30fps 720P because MORE VISUAL FX YAY

Because the xbone is the equivalent of the specs in my sig, which is a 3 year old PC?

I don't think you should be insulting the rig in your sig like that.

I actually find it rather weird that the PS4 is running at 900p. A 7850 should be able to handle high at 1080p

http://www.techspot.com/review/734-battlefield-4-benchmarks/page3.html

What with the (mythical) claim that console optimization makes a huge difference the 7850 should be running at 1080p on high/ultra easily.

according to that the 7850 on high is running at 46 fps. The PS4 is running at 60 fps and from what heard except for the res ps4 is running something like ultra.

You're making things up or you heard dead wrong.

However, the games are running at equivalent to high settings on the PC version, while cut-backs in lighting, effects and draw distance mean we can play through the campaign at an almost uninterrupted 60fps.

There's no doubt resolution is a big differentiator when it comes to image quality, with the PC untouchable here on its ultra settings. The PS4 version runs at 1600x900, while the Xbox One's lower 720p resolution brings out the most aliasing.

Is anybody else like me and who much prefer playing fps games with keyboard and mouse rather than a controller? Playing with a controller takes the immersion of an fps right out of it for me. It would be nice if the console fps games all supported keyboard and mouse.

It would be nice if Sony or Microsoft could come out with a wireless keyboard and mouse that can work together off of taking up 1 usb port.

I tried playing Halo on X360 once, it was a nightmare. All too used to play Counter-Strike on PC.

So, not even 1080p? Now that is something to say.
