Get 128GB minimum.

Win 9X = less than 10 mb
Win XP = 48 mb
Win 7 = 298 mb
Its all installed and boot up on my USB.

Windows 7/8 take up around 10GB once you disable hibernation and system restore.

Just don't go installing games on the SSD if it's that small. My SSD only has 36.8GB of used space, and that's with a few big programs, all my small stuff, and maybe a game or 2 installed.

Interesting, how do you shrink the installation size so much?

if left unchecked then the winsxs folder can get up to a pretty huge size if you keep installing programs... my windows 7 folder is 27GB with winsxs taking up 16GB on its own.

i've read up on some ways to reduce it but have yet to try them.
