I've used Indie Gala and Indie Royale before and never had a problem with them. I think Indie Gala is in Italy actually (judging from the Phone number on the Paypal it went to).
In any case, apparently everyone is in an uproar (there are some people who have multiple accounts and they're worried that it's going to be an 'all or nothing' proposition in the future) but the humble bundle team is listening to feedback.

Wasn't happy with it. I bought the bundle just for Superfrog HD, and was going to give the Worms games to a friend. Then I saw the link and regretted paying more than $5. --- I smolder with generic rage.

Anything that limits end-user control is a bad thing. Pretty stupid change, in my opinion.
That said, as long as the bundles are still $1 it's pretty ridiculous to complain about it.
But the thing is each bundle was supposed to be treated as its own, it was even their TOS that the keys were for personal use only. This is just a way to actually enforce it, and being the first time I'm sure they'll re-work it in some way.
Now the people complaining on G+/Twitter that have 3+ accounts...why? --- http://goo.gl/pIFDj | http://goo.gl/16aDr This is what happens when a 5 year old writes a comic - http://goo.gl/zRaAS

You'd have to ask them... but presumably this was before steam family sharing and they wanted separate accounts for mommy, daddy and little billy... or something. --- http://badges.mypersonality.info/badge/0/19/193056.png http://www.speedtest.net/result/2309944238.png

i can see why they did it, and i don't really have an issue with it. I've never gotten games from the humble bundle for anyone else than myself.
Actually i like it. maybe it will stop idiot people i know offering me games they got for $1 from humble bundles for just under their Steam price. --- Pointing out your stupidity is not trolling

False. Now people will beg for bundles instead of individual keys --- "Frightened by your own smell. Bitterness will run you through." ~In Flames: Bullet Ride

Finally a reason to stop hoarding all these game keys. I was never going to give them away anyway, so it's nice that they made this decision for me. --- "Perhaps it's impossible to wear an identity without becoming what you pretend to be." - Orson Scott Card, Ender's Game
