Their always online drm was ditched years ago. Barely any games even used it. Uplay is just a launcher.

That's been gone since, like, 2011 or so. Games that used it were bumped down to only needing an online check every time you start it up.

This applies to consoles only, not PC. As all future EA games require Origin, all future Ubisoft games require Uplay.
