What would you say if Intel & nVidia merged?

I THINK I would say: "Oh look, Intel and Nvidia merged."

It would probably rival the Square-Enix merger as one of the worst mergers in history.

I'll feel wary because of rumours I heard a while back where Nvidia paid a lot of money for optimizations for their cards so they looked better than AMD by comparison. Or the other where they paid money for AMD card gimping. Or Nvidia bribing developers to use Physx. (BTW these are rumours, not fact)

Regardless though; I still like Nvidia cards, I just don't feel like a merger is the best idea.

I wouldn't mind if they had a joint project where they made an APU-esque chip for a tiny Steam Machine since that's what the steam machines all seem to be running (intel/nvidia) but I don't think I'd want them to merge though.

An intel CPU with CUDA would also be interesting but I don't think they'd be able to fit enough cores on a CPU to be worth using over just getting an nvidia gpu if you care about PhysX that much.

It could be awesome if nVidia could use Intel's chip fabs instead of being stuck with TSMC's.

I'd think ho hum and see what happens after two years
