How long before GPU's have 1TB memory?

And before you go "LOL never" remember that about 20 years ago "Up to 1mb memory" was a powerful selling point for early video cards.

Thinking that you'd ever need 100mb would have seemed absurd.

Not sure, but it will have to wait before people start getting that amount of RAM. And before that, 1TB SSD should be costing $50 or less.

512mb vram back in 2004 was ultra high end, but it was need to max half life 2 and doom 3

we're already at 4GB, by 2015 expect 6GB to be the new standard with 8GB in ultra high end cards

i could see 1TB debuting in gpu's by 2016 in the $1000 video cards

i think it's nice

It's rumored the 780 Ti will have a 12 GB model. It makes me question why. They must know something.

The power of RRAM will make it all too possible.

the 780ti has the biggest vram afaik at 12gb. I don't see us breaking the 100gb limit in the next few years, 1tb is going to happen some time in the 2020's imo

If brute force doesn't fix the problem, you're not using enough of it.
