Just a trickle landed in it, but it immediately shutdown. I haven't tried turning it back on yet out of fear of worsening the damage. So is my computer boned or is there a chance of recovery?

Just scrap the whole thing and build another.

Oh and use this the next time your drinking your Juicy Juice.

Whatever you do, do not turn it back on within the next 24 hours. Where "into the computer" did you spill it?

Yeah I thought that and unplugged the system immediately. It spilt in through the top of my case, which is 'open ringed' to put fans there. I actually spilt the drink ontop of the desk and abit of it seeped over the side of the desk as I moved some work out of the way. I think it most likely hit the side of my motherboard, but I can't tell for sure...

Clean any affected area with a little rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth. (the alcohol will evaporate quickly and not pose a risk)

After that use compressed air to blow out all the slots and components connected to the mobo and watch for any liquid.

I wish I could build another computer. But I'm rather strapped for cash. *Piles of Money and Gold falls out of the rooftop*

And I'm not even sure a sippy cup would've helped. I sort of picked it up from the top then my fingers fumbled with it. Perhaps I have arthritis... :/

Rinse it with bleach (Juice leaves a lot of germs and can cause some serious mutated bacteria, Invasion of the Body Snatcher kinda s***), buy 2 50lb bags of rice and pour it into the computer, let it set for a few days (Rice absorbs moisture and your juice). Viola, brand new raging porn machine.

This is pretty good advice, though Everclear is what I've found to be best. If you aren't 21 you won't be able to get your hands on that though, plus it's banned in a few states.

Are you typing this on THAT computer? I'd suggest leaving it off for a week just to be safe.
