(Specifically for Windows 7)

I've always liked the idea of having multiple monitors for the desktop space. But I'm not exactly exuding cash, and don't think it's particularly wise to buy a new monitor just for that. Is there a program that can give me more space? Kinda like a smart phone, I guess, where there's multiple 'pages' of icons. It would be interesting if I could put all my games on one page, programs on another, art and scripting projects in one, etc.

Summary: Basically anything that improves the workspace of the desktop.

Yes, I believe they're called tiling programs. Search for windows tiling for a rough overview. There are some good ones out there but I forget the names of them :/

Googled it. I don't really understand what it is, or see how it would meet what I want.

So while most people have minimum/no icons on the desktop....you want PAGES of them? And think that will HELP "productivity"?

I personally create a folder that links to my storage drive with all my desktop stuff on it.

The other way is to find one of those programs that allows you to have multiple desktops.

I forgot what the program was called but there was one on XP that allowed you to have a 3D desktop with several desktops you could switch to.
