With the 290x hype affecting prices, I'd figure now and the fact that it's sales month (and upcoming holidays) would be a good time to watch out for upgrades. I am currently using a Sapphire 7850 2GB OC. What would be a good upgrade to "watch out for" or get?
I'd prefer $300 as a maximum budget. With that in mind I could still watch out for cards like Gigabyte 7970 Ghz Edition 3GB. (Currently $384) on Amazon in hopes that I could get it a bit cheaper. I could squeeze out an extra $100 though if I absolutely had too.
Any advice? Or is it 290x or gtfo time?

For $400, a 290 For around $300, either a 280x (which is a 7970ghz rebrand) or a 770 2gb. --- Copyright free literature available at http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page... otherwise known as Tex-Mex
Ahh, OK then. It's that simple. I'll look into the R9's some more. --- The PC gaming Master Race will never die out. We will continue to train, raise, and breed Master Race. http://www.youtube.com/user/PCGamingMasterRace87/videos
