Planning on selling my PC to my brother in February, what price should I offer?

He's too lazy to make one himself, and though I offered to build him one he's rather tight (or lacking) with his money, so he doesn't want to spend too much and not, so I offered him to give him mine for a nominal fee of 300 ($450), then I'd go ahead and use that money to contributing towards another PC for myself. Though I was thinking 300 might be a tad overly generous, and I was thinking of upping my offer to 400-450 ($600-675) but I'm not too sure if that's still too generous of me. >:)

Anyway my build is:

i5 2500K
560 ti GTX
G.Skill 8GB Ripjaws
ASRock Extreme4
Seagate Barracuda 500GB
Samsung 830 128GB
Hyper 212 EVO
Logitech 2.1 Speakers
LiteOn Bluray Drive
Cheap wirless Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard
illyama ProLite X2377HDS 21.5" IPS
& Windows 7

I'm also planning on taking a few parts out, e.g the Bluray drive which he has zero need for, but what would you guys offer up for that?

In other matters, do you guys have any suggestions for a build on a 650-800 budget? ($1000-1200)

I don't think that build is worth $600. Since this is your brother, you shouldn't worry about it too much. If I were in your shoes, I'd be more worried about not charging too much, because hey, he's my brother.

I suppose you have a point, love, affection and all that jibbery joo. But I'd give it to him for free if I could, it's just I need a computer too and I'm not drowning in money myself. :S

Actually since he is your brother you can get more money out of him since he trusts you. Unless he knows how much the PC is actually worth.

Last year I sold my old rig with an OC'ed Q9650 and a closed loop water cooler, 4 GB of RAM, 2 GTX 460s in SLI, and a 2 TB HDD. It also had about 4 extra fans hooked up to a fan controller and a multi card reader. I sold it to my old roommate for $300, knowing full well I could have gotten a lot more for it, but he and his girlfriend helped me out a lot when I wasn't doing so well.

I don't think my brother's as charitable as your roommate. :)

That computer is almost exactly like mine, except I have a GTX 660 and a smaller SSD. Also I have a ASRock Extreme 3, not 4.

I would probably try to get $350-400 from it if I sold it to a friend or family member. I have maybe $800 in it and it's only 2 years old.

Wait, are you going to keep that 21" display for your next build or sell it too? If that's included in the deal, then 500-600 is more than fair.
