Looking for a vid card recommendation

running now on a Dell XPS 8500

AMD Radeon HD 7570
16.0 GB RAM
intel i5 cpu @ 3.10 GHz
Power supply should be 460.0 watts
Haven't opend it up yet, but the Tower is pretty beefy so I don't expect space to be a make or break issue.

With the new consoles coming out it seems like a good time to treat myself to a fairly high end video card (something just a bit behind the cutting edge for a nice price to performance ratio) to boost my performance as well.

Go with an R9 290 or 280X. But as stated you will need a better PSU.

yeah I guess what I am looking for is the best card that my Power supply will support as a suggestion, so high end is a bit of a misnomer. Higher end than what I have.

Replace the PSU with a decent unit, then think about a videocard upgrade.

The wattage of your PSU seems good enough for some good cards, actually, but it sounds like you have a prebuilt, which means that it might be of terrible quality. Open up the case and find out what it is.

Dell uses decent PSUs.
