I've tried with m/kb and with a 360 controller and I just can't get into it. I don't find it fun rolling around striking everybonce in a while avoiding enemy attacks because you're made out of glass. I installed the combat rebalance mod and I didn't notice a significant change.

Guess I'll just throw it on easy and say **** it. Too bad because i love every other aspect of the game so far.

I wish you could use traps, poisons, potions, and magic to help you out...

Yeah, I tried playing The Witcher 2 again last night after Batman Arkham Origins and got my ass handed to me by a bunch of bandits. lol.

Quen is mandatory. The leveled up Aard and Igni are pretty overpowered just like in Witcher 1. Just pop pots every encounter. There's like an endless supply of ingredients.

I do use them, signs and secondary items are clunky as help and don't flow with the combat at all. Kingdoms of Amalur has the combat system Witcher 2 should have had. Similar on paper, totally different in execution.

Yeah, the combat just feels awkward and "detached". I don't see how they took inspiration from Demon's Souls.

These do help, but they still don't remove the feeling that Geralt is an idiot/little kid that just picked up his first sword.

The game is impressive but I agree, the actual gameplay is just not fun. I look forward the playing the next sequel but it's mainly for the graphics tbh.

Did you play TW1? It's significantly worse.

That depends on the person and what genres they like. I liked TW's combat more. It still didn't seem very good, but I stomached it more than TW2's.
