If you're worried about tessellation performance, and it's not going to come out to more than $5 for the "upgrade", why not?

Maybe you could crossfire the 7970?

I'm thinking of crossfiring my 7950 myself. Anyone have a 7950 CF? Is it smooth and problem-free?

Isn't that based on raw GPU specs?

Assuming AMD Mantle does well, I would recommend that you pick the R9 280X.

Isn't the 280x a rebranded 7970 Ghz?

I would personally invest in a second 7970 ghz.
