Nope, you should have been here a few weeks ago when there was a big topic explaining it.

At this point just consider it one of lifes great mysteries.

It's a link between your monitor and GPU that will make your monitor refresh only when there's a new frame available, up to 144 times a second (At least with the demo setup, I wouldn't be too surprised if most cap out at 60) or as low as 30 times a second vs a constant 60-120 like monitors do now. Think of it as v-sync where your monitor matches up to your GPU instead of your GPU trying to match up to your monitor.

Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there

Thanks to the magic that is topic archiving, it's STILL here... you just can't post in it any more.

Why Google something when you could just ask GameFAQs

Why Google something when you could just ask GameFAQs

Sometimes you can google something and get an answer and not really understand what it is you're reading... Sometimes it's nice to have it explained into easier termsby someone who understands it ... Sometimes google gives you a link to such an explanation, and sometimes it gives you the technical specifications which would be of interest to an engineer and nobody else.

Still, the topic was discussed on gamefaqs previously and I provided a link to the archived topic... if that's not enough information for him he should definitely google it.

Funny enough, there's a search option on gamefaqs as well. It's still not hard to at least check if there was already a newbie question on it. If not, he's welcome to ask. But even as a "simple" person myself, I don't ask questions often because it really isn't hard finding the answer.

Normally I'd agree, except the search function on Gamefaqs relies on knowing exactly how the topic in question was worded. You can only search topic titles, and not the content of the posts.

Was it spelled "gsync"? "G-Sync?" "G Sync?" Why not search for "Sync" by itself then? Oh now every topic with Vsync comes up too (cluttering things).. what if the topic in question didn't use G-Sync in the title?

The gamefaqs search function is crap.
