Geforce GTX 790TI in the works, releasing Feb 2014

Titanfall comes out in March, though (assuming it doesn't get delayed)

Also, speaking of Titanfall, I just read that it uses a modified Source engine. Interesting. (Also kind of funny that it's published by EA.)

dual gpu is still a single card no matter what anyone has to say

As far as drivers are concerned that is completely untrue. If it needs an SLI profile, it isn't for me. Sure its physically 1 card but that is practically meaningless.

Pure speculation unless you have proof! Any links?

When people say overkill this is the type of gpu they're referring to. This is so far beyond the next-gen consoles it will never be pushed to its limits this upcoming gen.

let's say the current console is a 7970M, equivalent to a 7870, and runs at 720p 30 fps, not exactly an unfair assumption

in order to do the same game in 1440p at 60 fps we're talking like 6-8 times as much GPU power

a GTX TITAN is not even twice as fast as a 7870, so at best we're looking at 4 times as fast as a console, and we all know SLI isn't 100% scaling, and that consoles typically receive better optimization

In short, expecting great performance at high resolutions in next-gen games is beyond any single GPU you can get. That's why we create these ridiculous enthusiast cards.

i'll say this, nvidia was planning on releasing the 790 this month to compete against the new radeon cards, but instead lowered the 780 price and announced 780ti..the dual gpu cards will always use the best chip and the 780ti gk110 is now the best

i think it's nice

Dual GK110, 6GB GDDR5, $1000 retail, includes Titanfall game

I should hope they'd throw in a game when you're dropping $1000 on a video-card.
