Overclocking HD7970 - First timer questions

i would start off by google searching overclocking results other people have had based on your EXACT model card. Find the recommended values, and input them into your msi afterburner and then I would start gaming and experimenting from there.

Yeah on Toms Hardware theyre saying they get average:

GPU: 1125 MHz

1575 MHz

Power: 20%


Unless theyre lying to me... :/

Well it kind of is luck-of-the-draw when it comes to GPUs, CPUs and overclocking.
Some cards will overclock very well while others not so much.
