So i suppose this is why bf3 drops from 45 to 25 fps after 15-20 minutes?

w/e im replacing the card soon.

I suppose too much heat does degrade performance. I've never really looked into the issue. I have a Sapphire 7850 and I've never seen the thing go over 60, even in BF3 and overclocked.

So, if you get a card and it's an AMD, I suggest Sapphire brand.

IIRC, second gen Fermi is usually 98-96c before throttling.
Might want to clean your heatsink or something. That shouldn't be happening on any 550Ti.

Getting a 770 or 280X this weekend, and im not going to be playing much till then. But yeah ill clean it before i sell it. (Better make sure its working before i sell it >.>)
