My first time building, how does this look?

I'm not buying a PS4 or XBone so I plan on using this for next gen gaming. I'd like to run next gen like, say for example, Watch Dogs, on medium to high settings. Other than that, I'll just be using it for Skype, Office, VLC, the usual. I plan on buying Windows 8.1 also. How does this look? Any suggestions?

Everything looks good but I would get an i5 or an i7 as a cpu.

Then I'd have to get a new motherboard, because the current one isn't compatible with Intel CPUs.

If I were you, or you were I, whichever you prefer, we would get an i5 and a gtx760. We might also reconsider an SSD+HDD at this time and instead go with a pair of hybrids. If we were a, that is.

If that's the case, then spend the extra money and get a 8350.

Does that mean you already own that motherboard?

Not sure what a hybrid is.

oh no, I just meant I'd have to select a new one. Which is no problem, just wondering what I should get.

It's a hard drive and a small SSD in the same device, with a special piece of firmware that keeps track of what you use the most on the hard drive and keeps it on the SSD for quicker access. I don't really recommend or not recommend them, but I guess you can research them. Seagate's Momentus XT series is such a drive.

Oh I see, well this is a decent board for the price, and it's on sale for another couple of days.

With that you could consider an i5-4670K, although it'll cost you almost twice as much as that FX-6300. As a middle ground, an i5-4430 would serve.

and just take any Z87 motherboard you like. It is going to cost about $100 more though.

i'm not gonna lie
that's pretty terrible
i'd get rid of the cpu fan, ssd, and get a cheaper case to swap for an i5 4670 build
and 7950 has been lower than $150
