Turn off shadows . No reason to ever have them on in any game.
I disagree. It can really add to the game when done well. Without shadows, most games looks "fake", including Battlefield 3 and 4. --- ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 - i5 2500k - Sapphire AMD Radeon HD7850 OC - 8Gb G.SKILL DDR3 - Crucial M4 SSD - ASUS BD-R - CM Storm Trooper /// PS3 - X360 - Wii U
RAM can be like extra storage space. Whatever is not used just goes to waste and will not affect anything. My guess is that under normal use (BF4 open, some tabs on your browser, some other programs like Steam etc.) you never even break 6GB at any given time, making increasing RAM completely pointless for your purposes.
Just decrease the settings. Specifically, turn of HBAO, turn down lighting effects, lower MSAA ( AA Deferred), turn off motion blur and AA post because they are terrible. --- I5 3570 | GTX 760 | FILCO Majestouch 2 tenkeyless | Zowie FK | Asus Xonar DGX | Kingston 120 GB SSD | Sennheiser HD 518 | Samsung S24A350H
Your Ram is fine for the game, the problem is your laptop isn't a high end laptop.

You have a mid range mobile i7 and what was almost 2 years ago (came out in jan 2012) a high end mobile gpu. It's the exact same card as a 765m which is now a mid range mobile gpu. You have a mid range gaming laptop. You can play most games at 1080p on high settings but you won't be maxing out any games unless they are older. I have an i7 that is newer and better than yours and a 765m which is the same. Paid $1250.00. Your laptop is worth somewhere between 700-900 used. --- Gamefaqs game rating system : 10 = Best Game Ever. 8-9. Crushing dissapointment. Below 8 :Total Garbage.
