Is this build okay for 1200gbp?

Is it the GPU overpriced? When does more third party release r9 290 cards?

Seems alright. The only thing is if you want to save some money, you can probably find a better deal on a case. That's 100 ...which is like $160, which is kind of a lot. You can find a decent case for like $50-$70.

a lot of people recommend the cooler master hyper 212 Evo CPU cooler that cooler can be had for around 30 and why do you need a 4GB video card?

It also might seem like a long shot but if you swapped CPU's from intel to AMD you could get the 8 core 8350 and a decent gigabyte motherboard for considerably less. I know people will just slate AMD but Tek syndicate did a non-biased test and found the 4770k to be only slightly better than the FX 8350 8 core. So really you are only paying the extra cash for a 3 or 4 FPS difference in games over AMD.

I personally own a Cool Master Elite 430.

It's a well built case. The only downside to it is that the cable manage kinda sucks...you gotta get a little creative with it. And the back plates that you remove to let your GPU fit aren't replaceable. Once you take them off, they're gone. The front bays aren't like that though, you can take off the plates all you want and add them in.

It's a mid tower and not a full tower, so space is somewhat less, but unless you have a giant cooling system or 3 way SLI-ing, it's not a big deal.

But for $50 (I caught it on sale one time for $40) it's a pretty good case. It's got 5 places for 120mm fans, of which I have 4 in it. Can't add in the 5th one because the CPU fan blocks on of the vents. Oh, also it's tool-less, which is always nice.
