If you don't know how this stuff works, creating your own OS from scratch is basically the single most difficult thing you can do in Computer Science. The type of person that is capable of this is almost certainly going to have some personality quirks, but this guy takes it to a whole new level.

And TempleOS is also not compatible with Windows, so 98% of the software out there won't work on TempleOS.

I'd be impressed if 2% of all the world's software worked on this.

No way, Isaac Newton! I was totally about to install this on my computer and then try to run The Sims 3 on it, but THANK YOU for pointing out this is not compatible with Windows! Where would the world be without geniuses like you and your ever so necessary commentary on life itself?

The point is what's the point of creating an OS from scratch if no one is going to use it, or it's not expected to get any support? Robert Szeleney created an OS from scratch with SkyOS and that got nowhere. He had a problem trying to get skyOS compatible with current hardware.

Now if Windows was open source I guess it would be easier for this guy to make Windows software to work on TempleOS. Of course there is nothing open about Windows, so there is not a single OS that is compatible with Windows, hence why MS still has a monopoly in the desktop.

At first I was about to say something about the use of "literally" in the title, but nope, it was used correctly, he's a certifiable lunatic.

I want to download it and check it out, but my wife wants nothing to do with it. She says, "If there's a virus embedded in it somehow it's probably unlike anything thing the world has ever known and would be impossible to get rid of." I'm curious. One guy said some coders like it, and i really want to know why. Easy to use maybe?

On a side note after reading a lot of his ramblings, it's obvious he's suffered from schizophrenia for a very long time. The longer they go without medicine the more deluded they become. He probably has no one in his life to help him or he would have had treatment by now, and i feel absolutely terrible for him.
