Picking it up, getting the fine brandy out, and drifting through the infinite depths of space while i'm blasting some Ave Maria.

It's all planned out.

I have X3 but haven't played much of it. I bought it a few weeks ago after finding out about X Rebirth to try to get a feel for the series. I need to play it more because XR looks amazing, Its on my wishlist and not sure if I will pick it up tomorrow or just wait till the end of the year to see if it goes on sale at all.

I still have way to many games on steam I need to play yet.

It looks like a must buy to me so far.

I see the metacritic user reviews are already rolling in.

"Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game Nice game "

Nice.

This one kind of sucks if it's true:
"the game is what i wanted so far but the performance are horrible at the present moment, less than 30 fps (10 fps in battle) with a gtx 670, which make it painful to play."

10fps on a 670 is pretty bad...

I'm liking what I'm hearing about it being designed with gamepads in mind.

A lot of people say that's a con but I like gamepads.

EVE is an economy simulator with built in tools. X games are space "sims", though combat is typically the core aspect of the game mechanics.

Economy simulation is definitely the larger part of the core mechanics over combat in the X3 games, especially compared to other space sims. Offline EVE is a fairly good summation of it(I always play X3 after I subscribe to EVE for a month only to realize why I didn't keep playing it in the first place).

Also, Chess is a game of skill much like all gameplay only video games. So it is pretty mindless if you think about it.-mtjormitch
