Green switches vs Blue switches?

The Ducky Shine is a very nice keyboard, you should be happy with it if you want a backlit keyboard.

Will wait until Black Friday hopefully a small price reduction.

Well at least you're not expecting much for a price reduction.

How important is blacklit? I feel it would be a cool feature.

Not important at all; completey superfulous. Unless, maybe you're not good at touch typing, they could help you a little.

Of course backlighting is not important. If you want it, the Ducky Shine is great. If you don't want it, then look for another keyboard. If you don't care, then the Ducky Shine is still a great option.

I like backlighting because if I have control of the light source (i.e. I'm not in a hotel, which I am alot because of my job) I keep the room pretty much pitch black. I touch type, but the backlighting is nice for when I'm gaming and I need to look down to hit one of the F keys or 7+ with my left hand.

The Deck Legend is a much nicer keyboard than the Ducky Shine because the lettering will never rub off and you could knock someone out if you hit them in the face with it. It also has individual LED's under every key, as opposed to some LED's and light diffusers to carry the light under all keys.

I'd also advise against blues as they are insanely loud, and if you don't live alone, or have neighbors in an apartment building with thin walls, people are going to hate you. The fact that the point of release on those switches is substantially higher than the point of actuation makes repeated key presses slower as well, which is a bad thing for gaming.

This is a matter of taste, but the font of the lettering on Deck keyboards is dreadfully ugly.

I used Blues for a long time (though not anymore because the clicking annoyed me), and never had a problem with gaming. Yes, I read countless times that what you're describing can be a problem for gaming, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it is a problem for gaming.

I am quite good at typing. I feel the problem with double pressing won't be that bad for me.

I didn't think I'd like the font either, but I actually find it charming now. Either way, the build quality on that keyboard is far better than Ducky's, and since you have to import Ducky to the US the Deck only ends up being $20-$30 more expensive.
