Funny, I remember running it pretty much maxed out on my 7870. Problem is somewhere on your end.

WoW performs poorly with AMD hardware, I got more FPS with a 660ti than I did with 7970s in CF, hell even with one disabled. AMD just runs that game poorly I guess

My single 7950 is usually around the 120 fps range max settings with a ton of crap going on the screen, gimme a break.

This I have a 1 7950 also and it runs WoW and every other game so far great.

I'm going to join the "it's not the card" chorus. You've done something wrong. I know the feeling.

I doubt it's your problem, but when I installed my card, it didn't work very well. It was the fact that my computer was too crowded and my GPU's fan was blocked by my sound card. I had to get a bigger case.

Anyways, I played WoW on a HD4650 (oh yeah) and it ran just fine. I play D3 and SC2 on my 7770 and have 0 problems with high (but not max) settings.

I installed mine and it didn't seat properly into my PCI-E slot and I was confused for days as to why I was having performance and driver issues. I took it out and reseated it and it's been fine ever since.

A little bit of Googling gave me this:

http://www.extremetech.com/gaming/170542-amds-radeon-r9-290-has-a-problem-but-nvidias-smear-attack-is-heavy-handed

It's a driver issue, which has been resolved. Use a current driver.

WoW also has its own tech support forum. Next time use that if you are having problems. Requesting topic lock as this could turn into flame war.
