ENABLE AHCI IN THE BIOS. Super important. Just do it.

Also, to be safe, unplug your normal harddisk before doing the install on the SSD. When you have more than one drive installed windows has the tendency to store the boot information on the other drive.

Okay. With a clean install on SSD will my computer lose info of stuff like my settings and the accounts on the computer? stuff like that?
Also, should I de-activate windows first?

If you dont want to d/l steam games again you can copy the main game folder for each game and move it over. Steam should d/l a couple misc files and you should be good to go.

Okay. Will I lose my account settings? Also, when do I move HDD to slot 2 and SSD to slot 1?

Say I unplug HDD, clean install on SSD, replug in HDD, how well will everything work? Will computer get mad if I don't delete the windows 8 stuff from my HDD? Also, will all my files and programs still work well? I know doing a back up and wiping everything is best but I have no external hard drive.

Programs won't work because the registry entries would have been deleted. Steam games should work, just let steam download any missing files.
