I can't afford another motherboard so getting a gen 4 processor is out of the question. Is an i5 sufficient to last me through this gen? --- PSN: acetrainerzx, 3DS FC - 2723-9250-9078 "Only fools pledge life to honor."

An i5 will last you quite a long time. Even now, an i7 4770k is only producing 1 to 2 FPS better in most games. Some games 2500k even out performs it. I am planning on keeping my build the same, minus an SSD and Windows 8 upgrade, for the next 4 to 5 years. It should also be noted that I use my PC on my 1080p TV so I have no need to run games at 1440p or higher. It all depends on what you want out of your PC. I can max any game out at 1080p. --- i5 2500k @ 4.4GHz || 212 EVO || GTX 780 || Vengeance 16GB RAM || 1TB HDD || ASRock Z68 E3G3 MB || Corsair TX750 PSU || 12X BD-ROM || Win7 x86

I would upgrade that CPU first thing. I would normally suggest GPU before CPU but that dualcore is holding you back a lot. --- When I'm Miqo'te http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3LGf9SSWrU
