I would wait til the 2014 cards are out, if I were you. What are you running on a single 1080p monitor that can't be accomplished with sli 680s? I'm running only one 680 and am still going to wait. I only have to turn settings down to "high" instead of "ultra" on games like C3 and Metro:LL. You should be able to max pretty much everything with 680 sli, right?

I have SLI 780's and run 3 24" monitors. I wouldn't say its overkill for triple monitors. Arma 3. Max settings @ 5760x1080 = around 70-80 fps, Battlefield 3 was around 100-140 fps. Will be getting battlefield 4 soon. I plan on getting SLI 790's when they come out so if you want to wait ill sell you my 780's for a good price.

It is for most games not every game though especially if you want 120fps. Why would you not want to get a 1440p monitor for $400 though since obviously you can afford to?

Was $4384.43 before the 780 prices drops. I changed everything on there to the prices I paid back in June. Depressing I know :(
