Your first mistake was getting a Razer.

Your second mistake was not getting a G400.

hopefully you dont mean this thing

http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Optical-Gaming-High-Precision-910-002277/dp/B0055QZ216

it is overpriced for what it offers.

Well, it wasn't originally that much. It's discontinued.

The newer one is just as good and much cheaper.

thats average range then, i would expect to get something like that for 40 bucks reguardless of the company making it.

Well, if you want arguably one of the best gaming mouseseses around, then get that G400s.

They aren't made poorly either, so they don't wear out like Razers often do.

best from a durability standpoint you mean? because it doesnt seem to offer extra buttons, or extra features, and it doesnt look better than a mid ranged microsoft mouse. ...i guess other than the 3600 dpi. thats mandatory for me, my mouse is always set to 3500 dpi.

Wait...what games you playing? If it's FPS and action-y games, the G400 is top tier. Super high DPI = crappy aiming in FPS games for the most part.
