Anyone here get the PS4 that has a nice mid-high end rig?

Just curious on some opinions as I feel that I've kind of been spoiled by PC gaming and that's going to really lower the awe factor when I jump into next gen.

Next-gen won't be anything special for anyone that owns a decent gaming PC.

However, if the exclusives are good and I find the PS4 for a good price, I might buy one 2-3 years from now. Right now it's a mess with few games and without a strong community.

My rig is a beast and if I don't have a ps4 by Christmas I'll definitely have one by summer.

When you make as much as I do you can pretty much buy whatever toys you want (obviously I know what I can and can't afford, but as far as gaming goes I can get pretty much whatever).

I've outgrown my old quote. It's been there for years, but now it's gone.

Your life must be terrible if you feel the need to brag on a message board.

I bought a PS4 and it has been ok so far. I really only got it for exclusives and plan on getting a xbone for the same reason. The graphics are fine. Not quite as good as you can get on pc, but at least they are not distracting like they were on previous gen titles. The big problem is that the launch titles don't run at 1080p @60fps. Some do one or the other, but not both at the same time. It's not a huge deal breaker for me since I pretty much only get exclusives for console, but it can get irritating during faster moving scenes.

No but I'm actually thinking about getting an Xbone. The hardware between the two are really similar but I have kids so I'd image they'd have a lot of fun with the Kinect... I'll also be having fun with the Kinect.

I've always found it funny when people are like, 'I make plenty of money. I can just go ahead and throw it away on whatever I feel like!".

Anyways, I'll upgrade my PC in 2-3 years, and I'll potentially get a PS4 or whatever at some point after that. I generally don't really find many of the exclusives overly attractive (at least for this last generation), so there's no reason to waste money on one unless that changes.

Yeah, I'm getting the Xbox One first because of the launch window. This is just the first time I've been a PC gamer when a new console launches....thus the awe in seeing games like Kameo or Perfect Dark Zero probably won't be there.

My buddy was the first out the door with a ps4 on release, he's got a 7770 rig with a fx 6150, 8 gb ram, as well as triple 24" eyefinity.

i think he's the only one I know that owns both.

you don't understand just how much money some people make.

when i was working oilfield pipelining i'd be pulling in just shy of 4 grand a week after taxes. That turns many things into the 'chump change' category.
