#1MolotovManPosted 11/18/2013 4:56:19 PM
my buddys laptop drive was dying so we got him a new one. What is the best/free way to clone his drive and throw it in the same laptop so its like nothing happened?

CloneZilla is Linux-based software but it comes as an ISO file which you can burn to a CD. You then boot using that CD and start cloning.

Clonezilla is awesome. I've used it multiple times with no issues.

Yep. Drop it on a CD or thumb drive, boot from it and copy away.
