Computer is being a smartass. No sound.

I have my earpods attached to my speakers. I unplug them and the sound stops playing completely. I check the sound management and it's supposedly playing my music from the Blue Yeti Microphone...which can't play any sound at all. How do I get the music back to running through my speakers? Keep note I'm using Windows 8 right now.

Unplugged mic, restarted computer, it works.

But why won't it read the speakers in the first place?

no clue. My computer won't recognize my home theater amp if I turn it off and then back on. A reboot is normally the only fix for me.
