8K, it already exists behind the scenes

How? We see real life in 4k, so how would 8k work?

Glasses free 3d?

3D just won't ever become mainstream for the sole reason that there are tons of people who just can't see the effect or have poor eyesight or eye issues and can't see it.

or just plain old gives a headache. I know more then just a few friends who can't handle extended periods of 3D exposure. Heck it's even affected me. The hobbit in 48fps and 3d was giving me a headache for the final 30 minutes of that film.

The next step is to replace every pixel in a 4K display with its own 4K display O_O

I found hobbit 3D at 48fps was much easier than the normal stuff cause it wasn't jerking around as much hurting my eyes because I couldn't focus.

Actually worst 3D I've seen is Avatar, they loved putting something in 3D then blurring out the background. I found myself hurting my eyes trying to see the blurry stuff in the background.

It's when they finally come up with some tech that isn't based on pixels and we never have to look at jaggies again.
