500 series cards are notorious for having issues. There's a lot of bad cards.

I just hope one day I can get passed 314.22

Laptopvideo2go.com

Just overwrite the .inf file and you are good to go. If you don't understand what I just said, just read around.

I can update, it just starts hanging and crashing with any version after 314.22. Will this fix that? (its a 560m)

Maybe try this? This resolved my issues on my ancient M17x I had that refused to update drivers at all on the 260m GPU it had.

Or there's a lot of bad drivers after R314.22 for the 4xx/5xx GPUs.

Buying a new video card right now is not an option for me since my current one is doing the job. R314.22 is the last stable driver that works for my card.

I have not had a single problem with driver updates for my 680. I even updated to every single one of the drivers reputed to brick cards and cause artifacting. I guess I am just damn lucky xD but this release is stable for me as well. Gettting good framerates with AC Black Flag on a single 680

I had to delete my C:\Nvidia folder and all the previous updates i had downloaded. Maybe give that a try.

Nope. There are lots of people running the new drivers fine. Hardware varies, bits and bytes don't.
