Since when does a program become unusable when it stops getting updated?

When it stops receiving security updates, stops adopting emerging standards, etc

All support is being dropped for it and they're going to shut down the website, remove the program, and remove all the plugins hosted there. They're pretty much going to wipe out it's existance.

Say hello to GooglePlayer.

It's funny because google wants to rule the world.

PS: I'm kidding and it doesn't exist... I think.

There was some kind of Google music service at least a couple years ago. Google Play I think? Not sure if it still exists.

This is the Internet. You'll be able to find copies of executables for years to come. Same goes for plugins.

It does still exist, and depending on your geographical location you can upload your music to the cloud and have it streamed to your android device. It's a pretty sweet system.

Yep, the music service is part of Google Play. I use it all the time at work.
You can upload up to 20,000 of your own songs at no cost and stream them to any web-enabled device. Unfortunately, it supports FLAC and Apple Lossless but transcodes those to 320 kbps MP3.
