Gameing case HELP!

#1Rama_XPosted 11/22/2013 4:24:40 PM
I have ZERO idea of what kind of gameing case i need for the build iam doing, so any help will be appreciated.

From what i could search i will need some ventilation and space because it has big parts. This is what i got:

GPU: i7 4770

GPU: N780 Lightning

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz

Power Supply: Corsair RM Series 650 Watt ATX/EPS 80PLUS Gold-Certified Power Supply

Mobo: MSI Computer Corp. Motherboard ATX DDR3 1333 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z87-G45 GAMING

About the hard drive iam not sure yet, i guess i will buy a 2TB one, but no idea which. Though i guess they are all very similar in size.

Yea pretty much, Just make sure you get a case that fits a full ATX board, not MATX (which is smaller) obviously each case is different, the more you pay the more features you get ie. USB 3 headers, fan controllers etc.
Do you have a budget in mind? I'm sure you could get some recommendations from some of the other posters.
My case is a Coolermaster CM690ii advanced in white, I know the Fractal R4 is a very popular case on here aswell.

Mmh lets say iam willing to spend 100 dollars more or less (this is my first serious build and iam trying to acquire quality parts for everything).
Also of course i will add a dvd player for driver installation and the kind.

What is your budget for a case?

Under 200:
Fractal Design R4
Corsair 500r
Corsair 540 AIR
NZXT Phantom 410
Antec 1100
Coolermaster HAF 932

I just picked the R4 to replace my old casing. Cant wait to build it!

He said above that it was $100, What was your old case? I've been contemplating switching my cm690ii to an R4 for quite a while. How do you like it?
