The game really feels and plays like a generic WoW, but much worse.
Haven't played, as I never signed up for the beta, but I have a question.
Is it like the whole Wow theme park-like thing going on? Cuz if so that's literally the cancer that killed MMORPGs.

It's a washed up Elder Scrolls game to fit the limitations of MMOs.
The environments are great though, and exploration can make it fun. 1st person mode greatly enhances the exploration aspect as well. Character customization is pretty good as well. It feels weird to be part of a different alliance just based on your race though.
However, combat suffers from the somewhat already stiff combat from Skyrim. Enemies don't seem to "feel" your impact as they do in Skyrim. Enemies actually don't appear to have any A.I. at all other than just use any skill they can against you. Stealth is completely useless as well.
Archery is also too slow and hitboxes barely (if at all) matter. Magic works similar to most other MMOs. Melee is a bunch of swinging and blocking charged attacks along with using hotkey skills. It's boring. Some people would even say Skyrim's combat is boring, but at least blocking a hit clearly shows you block it.
Doing quests also felt weird. I can't seem to find a good explanation for it other than that in a MMO, you feel like completing quests have no impact at all.
Yes I know it's a beta. I'd hope for there to be a good solution to every problem, but even if the combat gets better, the quests are probably not going to change too much for me to enjoy it.
I have more to say, but I'd rather not divulge myself further into the game's mechanics when the game is a WIP. I'd also rather not argue over a WIP so I'll leave it at that until the game officially releases. I hope it polishes up well, despite my gut feeling denying it will.

while i understand the fact that they are trying to make it an "Elder Scrolls" game first with MMO flavor, I can't help but want it to be an MMO first, with Elder Scroll flavor.
Maybe its just the awkward UI and janky combat, but when I play MMOs, I expect to see damage numbers, experience bars, and combat that feels like I am actually doing something, rather than wildly swinging weapons and grazing enemies. Weapon swings have no impact, stealth mechanic seems completely useless, and ranged bow mechanics are literally broken. The world map is completely undetailed, stamina seems out of place, and skill usage isn't very fluid at all.
Never understood why companies feel the need to make MMOs that don't have a solid foundation, and instead, just slap a popular IP on a rocky MMO core and hope for the best (SWTOR, FFXIV ARR, etc)....
I'm still interested, but the game is extremely "early" at this point.
As someone said in that listed topic, the combat feels way to floaty and no weight. I was really excited but after the tutorial I didn't play any further. The game looks great, but the elder scrolls elements just feel tacked on and hindered by MMO mechanics. Pass for me. I did get a laugh that Microsoft Sam was used to voice some dialogue and NPCs, but beta is beta :P
