Some semi-reliable sources have reported on rumors that they will be powerful cards.

790 is a dual gpu

Titan ultra won't exist

800 series might be marginally better than the 780 Ti

LoL. I'm building a rig around New Years. Trying to get the best card at the moment, along with a g-sync monitor. If nothing new is going to hit by Jan20th then i'll get a GTX 780 Ti..

Does Maxwell have anything special that new or greatly improved?

No one really knows. But it will likely be a pretty big improvement over the Kepler architecture. The biggest jump from one gen of cards to the next is when a brand new architecture comes out, usually. 880 will likely be at least a 30 percent improvement over 780ti. If the trend of new architecture squashing previous architecture holds true.

30% is a pretty big jump! I'm exciited. Question, is it pc tech or gpu tech that manages the AA?
I'm a noob but i hope i explain this right. I know that when you turn up the AA it can effect all your performance stats the high you go, to fix this does there need to be advances on the gpu side or the pc side? This will be my first gaming rig and even though i'm starting out with 1920x1080 i want to max out everything including AA to to see how great pc games can really look.
