need a new pc fast for under $300 suggestions?

#1king_maddenPosted 11/25/2013 1:08:08 PM
my pc died, but I still have about 4gb of memory and a pretty good graphics card to move into a new pc, so im not exactly trying to buy an incredible machine. Im trying to spend as little as possible, because I need one by the end of the week. any suggestions on a good cheap one I could find for less than $300?

ive found this one on black friday for $250, is it a decent deal?

If $300 is your max and you are willing to build it yourself then buy one of these. They are both much more powerful than what you just listed.

Why not buy the parts to repair your old machine?

Can migrate OS from old machine, I think?

What, exactly, died in your last computer?

yes I have my old hard drive and everything so I could do that.

my psu is bad, my processor is showing signs of going out according to the local repair shop.

@sinisterslay
its just an old computer so rather than trying to keep putting new pieces in id rather just get something newer altogether.

@pcelitist
i know less than nothing about building. i can put in a hard drive and memory but outside of that im lost lol.

if i were to go over $300, but def. less than $400 how about this for something to build? a friend says he can build them, and will show me everything, and since these prices are much better than that prebuilt I saw I figured I would give it a shot.

its listed as like $450, but I wont be getting the dvd burner or hard drive.

would this be a lot better than the $300 builds linked above?

You would have to replace the power supply.
