Steam is for profit, Wikipedia is not.

Less people use steam, but most pay to use it.

A LOT more people use Wikipedia, but less people pay for it.

When I used it fairly frequently I'd donate $10 every time they asked, but now since I rarely use it I haven't donated for the past 3 times or so.

I agree with this even though information can be edited by pretty much anyone and is not recommended by universities and such.

They perform a donation drive every year. They usually achieve their goal within a week.
