Good Wifi USB Adapter

#1SantaeidPosted 11/25/2013 8:43:53 PM
I have some cheap adapter my dad got from who knows where and it gets me 10 MBPS out of 75. My brother has a Lenovo Idepad y510P which is even further from the router and he gets 23 MBPS. Anyone know any good wifi adapter so that I can get speeds closer to this.

I own one of these, gets my ISP's full speed from around 50 feet(24mbps). Using a Netgear Nighthawk router though.

Not sure if PCI-e wireless network adapters are better than USB WiFi adaptera. Does your brother's laptop use an integrated WiFi network adapter or USB?

My brother has what I assume to be an integrated one. I am using a USB Wifi Adapter. Its serviceable but I wanted to know if there is anyway to get double the speed like my brother si getting from so far away.

These reviews seem mixed but I will look at stuff similar to this.
