Best deal on a 600W+ PSU right now?

I'm not really counting on MIR, I've had more bad experiences than good in general.

I'm considering these right now:

I'd like to keep it on the cheap end but those are a bit tempting. It's a toss up between the SS S12II and the Rosewill Hive. I'm not sure if I really need a modular PSU since I used most of the cables on my XFX XXX edition 650W.

aside from the silencer mkIII, almost all the units posted before this post shouldn't be on your radar, especially the cx line if you actually need a 600w+ psu. the M12II and Hive 750 (hive 750 makes a good continuous 650w) are a fair price. the TX650, ironically after corsair is trying to kill off the series due to slumping sales (because of bad pricing in major markets) and replace it with the inferior quality RM series is at a good price right now too. if you get something like the capstone 650w then keep it and sell your xfx when it comes back from rma.

The CX is still $50 before rebate, and I'd certainly trust it better than any Rosewill unit.

that's true, and it's cheap for a reason. even the man who specs out and markets (well he used to) corsair's power supplies will admit that the cx line is for basic, non gaming computers and it's built to that purpose. trust of one brand over another is not an indication of quality when it comes to specific power supplies, it's just an indication of what somebody does and doesn't like. rosewill has plenty bad apples, but so does corsair and they are growing in number fast. super flower golden green is better than whatever unit CWT came up with for the cx series in every way. they're on two different ends of the spectrum.

And anything Golden Green is going to run you a lot more, too.
The CX line isn't fantastic or amazing, but it's far from bad, or even mediocre. It's a rock solid unit that will achieve it's rated efficiency within labeled specification, and will deliver more power than you pay for safely and well within ATX specification.

I can't think of a single Corsair unit that could qualify as a "bad apple", actually. They have a rather weak 80+ gold line with a lot of box features and some rather poor ripple, but it's still well within spec. On the other hand, Rosewill only has a handful of units worth glancing at, much less owning.

I decided to go with the Rosewill Hive (750W).

Hopefully it'll be here soon. The damn fan clicking is driving me crazy.
