Planetside 2 is not that good. Stick with TF2 or maybe BF4 if large open maps and vehicles are your thing.

PS2 is good at what it does... but you have to understand that what it does isn't really fun unless you put effort into it. You pretty much have to invent your own personal goals because the game isn't going to give you any beyond shoot the orange doritos and take their land for a while. --- I am the mighty thesaurus! And that's awesome. In a sense, PS2 has the freedom not present in many FPSs (hence MMOFPS). It is true though, you can burn out quick from grinding due to cert gain speed-cert unlock cost, and if you don't you are stuck with one good build/vehicle which you will get sick of (yet another burn out). It's taken me a great deal of hours (80~?) invested in one character to get past the grind stage and reach satisfying builds for most classes/vehicles. Of course, it's all about the mindset as this could all be avoided with great imagination and company.
Can you run Skyrim at all or is it just horrendous? I play Skyrim at 900p medium while PS2 is 720p high (monitor cuts off some buttons at higher res, wtf incorrect gateway ratio). I mean there is a chance kind of --- PC: 16 cores with 10 meg pipe | XTREME Case modified with flames and blue LEDs for XTREME speeds | 22" CPU
