How many PCs did you buy only to play exclusive games.

People buy a new PC for BF4? It really shocked me.My 2 year old PC handled all the pressures from games like BF4,COD Ghost,Crysis 3 etc.Well my question is-Did you buy new PC especially for playing a certain game?which games?

Ever PC I have bought for home has been for PC exclusive games. PC's get the best exclusives.

The last games I did a massive overhaul for were Supreme Commander (went from a Pentium 4, 1GB RAM and ATi X1800GTO to Core 2 Duo @ 2.8GHz, 2GB memory and an 8800GTS 320MB) and Battlefield 3 (went from the above mentioned system but with an hd4870 and 4GB RAM to a 3570k @ 4.4GHz, 8GB memory and an HD7870). In both times though, the systems were on the edge of being able to run games acceptably.

My current pc for battlefield 3. Got the second gtx 670 I'm current build and the i7 I have yet to install for the witcher 3 whenever it gets released.

May end up selling both cards and getting two gtx 780ti instead

How is BF4 an exclusive game when it's available on consoles?

I've upgraded to play specific games better, but I've never bought a full PC just to play one game.

I've been a PC gamer since the early 90s. I've always had a gaming PC. Sometimes a good game comes out and I want to max it, but can't. That's usually what triggers my need to upgrade. That happens every 2-3 years and I'll buy a new video card. I usually have a full new PC about every 5-6 years. I think this one I have now, I'll push it further. I just need to be happy with medium settings instead.

I built my first PC to play SIms 3 above garbage settings, and to be able to play the Witcher 1 period. Since then, it's just been upgrades in pieces
