After playing Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag I wish Ubisoft would...

Make another Prince of Persia game or another IP based around platforming.

While I am not a huge fan of Assassin's Creed (I have finished 1 and 2) and Black Flag is probably the best of them so far it makes me miss the Prince of Persia games Ubisoft used to make such as Sands of Time, Warrior Within, Two Thrones, Forgotten Sands and even the 2008 reboot.

Anyone else feel like this or is everyone more or less happy with Assassin's Creed continuing to be Ubisoft's major platforming series?

I think that the PoP games were incredible except for the 2008 one which I just really don't like at all. Sorry bro.

But I agree they need to keep making them. I really liked AC2 and Brotherhood for the number of platforming sections they had (remember the "tomb" levels). Revelations and AC3 were a massive let down in that regard.

As you've played AC4, does it have lots of platforming in it then?

The 2008 one is probably my least favourite so I am not surprised some people don't like it. I too find it has probably one of the dumbest protagonists in a video game ever, not to mention little gameplay.

As for your question about AC4, it does not have a whole lot of platforming. It does have your typical parkour around the city and while they have added more elements to add to the platforming (at least from when I played AC2) and making it a lot more solid it mostly leaves you wanting more. Especially since the new pirate theme of the game will mostly have you out on the seas and you will be swimming a lot.

there are rumours that next AC will take place in Egypt, so it has a great chance to look like PoP

on the other hand I wish Ubisoft moved towards East and brought us oriental AC with samurais and their extremely beautiful swords

Idk man AC4 is cool and all (I'm on sequence 9 i think?) but i grow bored of the high seas. any boat mission has become dreadful at this point. i just want to stab things.

aka bring back PoP it was fun. no stealth no BS just run & climb walls and kill things

Been playing abit of it myself, having a blast. Hopefully in like 10 years we will have a space ship faring game that is abit like this, open world and you can upgrade your ship and explore the stars. Eventually leading up to a fleet, choose your own faction or make your own.

Would be epic.
